Information Technology Security Specialist (Junior and Senior)

Location: Columbia, MD 21046

Job Description:
Provides assistant designs, develops, engineers and implements solutions to security requirements. Performs a risk analysis that also includes risk assessment. Supports, assists with coordination, and implementation the organization’s information security. A working knowledge of several of the following areas is required: understanding of business security practices and procedures; knowledge of current security tools available; hardware/software security implementation; different communication protocols; encryption techniques/tools; familiarity with commercial products, and current Internet/EC technology.

The candidate will support one or more of three tasks: the Security Management /Monitoring task; the Secure Boundary task, and/or the Secure Access Architecture and Development task.

The candidate must be experienced in project development techniques, security protocols, network protocols, security standards, security practices, and public key cryptography. Candidate will be focused on the introduction of new services to include anti virus and spy ware detection/prevention. Candidate must be able to perform market analysis, create requirements, and have a complete understanding of the NISCAP process.

Job Requirements:
U. S. Citizenship is required.  A TS/SCI clearance is required.
Level 1: High School Diploma and 1 year related experience.
Level 2: Associates Degree and 2 years related experience, or High School Diploma and 4 years experience.
