Near Native Linguist
Location: Columbia, MD 21046

Job Description:
Candidates require experience in language translation and transcription of materials to perform verbatim, annotated natural language transcription. . The candidate is required to meet high levels of speed and accuracy to meet customer expectations.
Must have demonstrated experience and proficiency in Signals Intelligence (SIGINT). The principal responsibility of the expert linguist is to annotate media for technologies that process spoken language. Primary needs are for voice analysis experience, linguistic capabilities, and computer skills (Sun/UNIX familiarity) to enable use of Government provided software tools. 5-10 years of operational SIGINT experience in translation & transcription is desired.
Job Requirements:
U. S. Citizenship is required. Qualified candidates must have a Near-Native or Native Language proficiency. ILR 3 or greater proficiency is required. Candidates must have a degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. TS/SCI clearance with CI and/or Fullscope polygraph required.
Languages:
Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, Urdu, Pashto, Persian.
