Network Engineer

Location: Columbia, MD 21046
Work Status: Full-Time

Job Description:
Analyzes telecommunications characteristics (e.g., traffic, connect time, transmission speeds, packet sizes and throughput) and recommends procurement, removals and modifications to network components. Designs and optimizes network topologies and site configurations. Plans installations, transitions and cutover of telecommunications components and capabilities. Coordinates requirements with users and suppliers. The candidate will support one or more of three tasks: the Security Management /Monitoring task; the Secure Boundary task, and/or the Secure Access Architecture and Development task.
The candidate must be experienced in network protocols, security standards and security practices. Candidate will be supporting the evaluation and integration of security related devices, application and services into a corporate infrastructure. The candidate will provide security management and monitoring support. Responsibilities include: market analysis and evaluation of vendor products, requirements analysis, architecture and design, system integration and testing, complete NISCAP process, and provide informal training to the transition team.

Job Requirements:
U. S. Citizenship is required.  A TS/SCI clearance is required.
Associates Degree and 2 years related experience, or High School Diploma and 4 years experience.
